A Mans Right

I believe that people most definitely have a right to look out and take care of themselves. Should it be the primary basis for their decisions? I don't know, Who does? Are we as human beings supposed to care for ourselves before others? Or are we supposed to support our friends and family before ourselves? I think that if someone has the opportunity to help someone else who is in need they should but others feel differently than me. Others think that you should save your self before others on the basis that if you are not around you can not help others. Is this reasonable knowledge or is this a never-ending circle forever trying to restore its self?

Scrooge's Diary

December 24, 1843
Dear diary,
Why must people be merry. It is not merry. The men think i would donate to help the homeless. I am a man just as they are. I mind my own business just as they should mind theirs. I fund the jails to which they should go. If they would rather die then they should do just so. The men can waste their time if they so choose. They can waste their earnings if that is what the want. They can just go ahead, i don't care. I don't see what they gain by helping those who have nothing to give in return. And my nephew going about wishing a merry Christmas. He is a fool he has no money. All he has is unpaid bills. By golly he should go to jail. Then lets see if its such a merry christmas. Christmas bah humbug Christmas. What is the point of christmas an excuse off of work for a day, a free days pay. Bah.
